Site Features

Trees:
Horn beam, pedunculate oak,wild service tree, hawthorn,ash, Lime,hazel,elder,wild cherry,field maple, holly and blackthorn.
 
Plants:
Bluebell,wood anemone, lord and ladies,wood millet,wood melick.meadow- grass,wild garlic (ramsons),garlic- muustard,lesser celandine, herb robert, cow parsley.
 
Birds:
Greater spotted woodpecker, treecreeper, bullfinch, willow warbler,log-tailed tit.
 
Other Animals:
Rare ant (Lasiusbrunneus), rare beetles,( Phloiotrya vaudoeum,Platypus cylindricus, Chrysolina oricalcea.
 
Other Features:
-remnant of Ancient woodland,( part of the Great North Wood ), a stream through part of at the Oakridge Rd end -was once known as 'Gypsy Lane'.
