"I had five sisters, and two brothers, my mother had quite a few children after me. At the time I didn't know too much, because mum was the only person who came. I never saw my brothers and sisters for a long time. So when I did integrate in that family, as you can imagine, there was a lot of jealousy and unhappiness for me.

They got this house in Southend Lane. One of the reasons why that they got this house, was so that I could come out of residential care and went into that family. Well as you can imagine, having not seen much of my family, I didn't integrate very well. But somehow I stomached all that, and I came reasonably through with it."
