Linkline – alert service in your home

Transcript of video

Linkline is a 24 hour alert service that will send someone to your home if you have an emergency or will contact a friend or relative. We provide the service to anyone who feels vulnerable or at risk. Linkline gives you the freedom to live your life independently.

A Telecare unit is installed in your home. This is supplied with a pendant which can be worn around your neck or carried anywhere in your home. If an emergency happens you press the button on the pendant or on the Telecare unit and the Linkline Communications Centre is automatically alerted.

We have two types of service.

  • One, we hold the keys to your home and will send someone to help you deal with the situation. This is called mobile response.
  • Two, we telephone a friend or relative who has your keys and they will organise help. This is called telephone on response.

There is a charge for the service, but you do not have to pay for the equipment supplied.

You can download an application form on this website. When we receive your form we will contact you to arrange a convenient appointment. We can arrange for a British Sign Language interpreter to be at the appointment if you let us know in advance.

If you would like more information or help with applying please contact the Linkline Telecare Service. The details are on this webpage.
