Freedom Pass

Transcript of video

There are two types of Freedom Pass, one for people over the age of 60 and one for disabled people.

The Freedom Pass for disabled people gives free travel at all times on the bus, tube, trams and Docklands Light Railway. There is also free travel on local railways but with time restrictions which vary on different routes. You can get discounts on boats for Thames River services.

To get a disabled Freedom Pass you need to complete an application form and show that you are eligible. The application form is available on this website.

To be eligible, you need to provide the following proofs with your completed form:

  • Proof of residence in London Borough of Lewisham
  • People who are profoundly or severely deaf need to provide registration with social services or an audiological report by an aural specialist

If you would like more information or help with applying for a freedom pass please contact the BSL Communication and Support Workers at Accesspoint. The details are on this webpage.
